We spend the day hiking and exploring, always at a comfortable pace, with long or short, strenuous or leisurely hikes to choose from. </p> <p align="center"><strong>Our guests, not our guides, set the gait.</strong> See our section on <a href="/heli-hiking/firsttime">First Timers</a> for a more detailed description on our hikes and ability ratings.</p> <p>Each day we immerse ourselves in different mountain environments. Our guides are in constant communication with the lodge's <a href="/heli-hiking/safety/alpine-helicopters">helicopter</a>, so we may make two or three different hikes during the day depending on the guests' interest. Guests may choose to hike all day and not see the helicopter until the end of the afternoon and other guests may chose to take 2 or 3 short hikes in the course of the day.
