What is Heli-Hiking?

Sounds too hard? Sounds too easy? Its neither, and its both. Heli-Hiking is what you make it. We use a Bell 212, 14-passenger helicopter to access remote areas of our mountainous terrain in the Columbia Mountains of Western Canada and from there, the choice is yours. You may wish to explore a meadow with your guide and learn about the native flora and fauna. You may wish to hike non-stop til lunch covering a few miles and a few feet of vertical gain. Elevation gain not your thing? That's ok. Our gorgeous mountains have miles of undulating ridge tops that offer spectacular views. Heli-Hiking is suitable for all ages and abilities. Private groups and bookings are also available.

Based from our remote mountain lodges, each day we take short helicopter flights to access some of the most spectacular mountain terrain in North America. Each day we immerse ourselves in different mountain environments. Our guides are in constant communication with the lodge's helicopter, so we may make two or three different hikes during the day depending on the guests' interest. Guests may choose to hike all day and not see the helicopter until the end of the afternoon and other guests may chose to take 2 or 3 short hikes in the course of the day. Our golden rules are flexibility and adaptability.
