Welcome to the Adamants!

Area Manager, Adamants: Konrad Scheiber In 1997, I first experienced the magic of this place. Not only was I surrounded by beautiful snow covered peaks like Downie, Goldstream, Sir Sanford and the Adamant range, I was spending my working days skiing through deep powder, trees, over glaciers, steep slopes and long easy-going runs, and all within good company. What makes the skiing at the Adamant Lodge unique is the variety of terrain available. Although this area is known for the excellent corn skiing in the spring, the Adamants also offer exceptional tree skiing.

The staff and the guests here are what create the warm atmosphere of the Adamant Lodge. Together with Lodge Manager, Sherri McEwen I would like to invite you to the Adamants, make this place your home and experience the magic for yourself.

About Adamant Lodge

Travel 350 kilometres west of Banff and you'll find Adamant Lodge situated at the confluence of four major alpine valleys. It's named for the surrounding diamond-hard peaks, a sub-range of the Selkirks, where we do all our Adamants-based Heli-Skiing.

The Selkirks are famed for long glaciers, deep valleys, and rugged vistas. Classic tree skiing and huge, open glacier terrain await Adamants skiers. The challenging access to these mountains ensures that our abundant terrain remains untouched by all but CMH guides and guests.

Additional Information About CMH Adamant Lodge

Adamant Lodge is located near the head of the Goldstream River in the heart of some of the most rugged mountains in North America. When it opened in 1990, it was the most luxurious of the CMH lodges and set the standard for future development, but like the other CMH areas, the lodge is dramatically overshadowed by the surrounding mountains.

When the snow melts off the vertical walls that form a surreal backdrop to the ski season, the summer season in the Adamants demonstrates perfectly why the helicopter is the ideal tool for modern mountain exploration. The cliffs virtually enclose some valleys like the walls of a castle.

On the eastern edge of the Adamants tenure, the Fairy Meadows hut serves as a base for skiers and climbers, but the sheer walls to the west keep even the most adventurous climbers and skiers out of the heart of the CMH Adamants terrain.
