Powder Introduction Program
for First Time Heli-Skiers

If you are a strong intermediate skier on hardpack, you are ready to heli-ski! My name is Roko Koell, and I am the Director of the CMH Powder Performance program (Powder Intro and Powder Masters). Our Powder Intro program is about learning to ski deep snow, and my goal is to teach you the movements you need to master this new technique, while having an incredible time.

I call your first heli-drop-off 'the point of no return'. But in truth, we start out slowly, getting used to how your skis feel in deep snow. I suggest you don't have high expectations on your first run, and guarantee you'll be making outstanding turns by your last run!

We recommend Powder Intro for skiers ready to make the transition into off-piste skiing as quickly as possible. Powder Intro groups comprise ten skiers who work with two specially-trained guides, allowing for practical instruction while skiing and, if necessary, splitting the group according to ability. Powder Intro weeks are offered throughout the season.
